Fairy fingers and a lot of patience…
Valérie works in her small and cosy workshop, in a very romantic courtyard, next to the magnificent Nemours castle.
She has been creating objects with straw for a long time now. She has mastered her craft, she dyes the straw, she splits it and places it onto a support like a mosaic piece.
Like many craftsmen we meet, Valérie is always smiling, she loves life and colours. She talks about her job with passion. In fact, she has “stars” in her eyes when talking about straw marquetry.
