Cloisonné Marquetry : a unique expertise
Inspired by cloisonné techniques, Nathalie has developed an innovative approach to marquetry, resulting in an exclusive technique registered with the INPI : cloisonné marquetry. This unique process combines metalwork and wood veneer to create the illusion of enamel, offering a contemporary and refined reinterpretation of an ancestral decorative art.
Trained in cabinetmaking and seat carpentry alongside a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Nathalie drew on her expertise and artistic sensibility to develop this unique technique. Inspired by plique-à-jour enamel, she plays with light, transparency, and color by embedding fine pieces of wood into a delicately openwork metal framework in copper, brass, aluminum, or precious metals such as silver.
Her creations, true works of art, are inspired by the grain, reflections, and textures of wood, as well as the organic and geometric forms that surround her. By skillfully playing with contrasts and gradients, she brings to life unique ornaments and surfaces, enhancing wall panels, decorative elements, inlays on objects and collectible furniture, as well as accessories dedicated to the art of the table.
Each piece requires extreme precision: the metal partitions must be perfectly aligned, while the carefully selected woods are meticulously fitted to create compositions as subtle as they are spectacular.
Custom-made by hand, her pieces cater to a discerning clientele : architects, interior designers, and professionals in the luxury hospitality and fine dining industries seeking exceptional craftsmanship and uniqueness.
